The Middle Room is pleased to present The Middle Becomes Eclectic II, our second-annual LA-made small works salon—a large-scale exhibition within an intimate space—of forty Los Angeles area artists. The show’s title is a play on the iconic KCRW alternative radio program that began in LA in 1977. The small works in this exhibit span a wide range of media and styles, all made-in-LA during the past year, by diverse artists at all career levels—curated together, salon-style, and priced at $500 and under. This exciting off-beat exhibition that supports community-building, accessible art-collecting and art-gift-giving during the holiday season—and reflects and celebrates the current pulse of the art being made in LA—will be on view from December 5, 2025-January 11, 2026.
THE MIDDLE BECOMES ECLECTIC is an expansive large-group show, guest curated by Camilla Taylor, featuring widely diverse small works—and offers a unique opportunity to view and acquire newly made and accessible artwork from contemporary artists practicing throughout the greater LA area. In the spirit of accessible art collecting, and gift-giving during the holiday season—the small works in this exhibition reflect the current landscape of the art being made in LA, represented by forty diverse artists coming together…in the middle.
