Fabiola Gironi

Fabiola Gironi (b. 1982, Milan) is a contemporary artist based in Los Angeles. With a Master’s in Art History, she has exhibited internationally, including her solo show The Dreaming Vessel at Billis Williams Gallery, Los Angeles (2025); Domestic Magic at Rubin Gallery, Milan (2023); and the duo show Unio Oppositorum at SPRING/BREAK, Los Angeles. Her work is held in private collections in Europe and the United States.

I create highly chromatic still life paintings that merge acrylics, oils, and embroidery. Rooted in Italian painting traditions and inspired by Renaissance and Mannerist theatricality, my work reimagines classical forms once tied to grandeur. Instead, I focus on domestic objects and tasks that quietly sustain daily life. My practice is autobiographical, reflecting femininity and motherhood, and draws on Mediterranean artifacts, folklore, and memory to blur the line between real and imagined. Having lived “in between places” for 15 years, I explore identity and belonging within shifting concepts of home.
